It’s after midnight in Tulsa. I can feel a binding, restless, incessant quiet, as ripples of insanity drift by on the psychic winds of chance and change. There are no anchors or guides in this ephemeral post-petroleum impression of a city – no easy way to divine its melody – only wisps and snatches of Mores, Folkways and childhood’s end, blending with the overriding All-American major and minor scales, the undertow of modern reality, and the marching beats of the left-right… left-right…
It must be time to stand, to stand in the light unmasked, to follow, what the Choctaw people call, “The Bright Path”.
ABOUT SITE The site brings together media and related information from my various musical and audio projects and releases. This includes a new group, GEOFF BOND & b-ONd, new and old Solo Acoustic voice and guitar, Multi-instrumentalist and Singer-Songwriter projects, and Bands from the past such as – “Peoples Glorious Five Year Plan”, “The Blowout Relaxer Band”, (now legendary), “The Tools” aka “Quantum Leap”, (with Joe Hardy, John Hampton & Jimmie Jameson – we were The Tools before Tool), and more… yes even “The Mustangs”. Audio projects like Jimi Hendrix (read the story in SoundArtMagazine.com) and Monsters of Rock Moscow, are also represented.
ABOUT FACE Bard & Band or Barred & Banned? For those of you new to my world here’s a bit of foreground. I was born back east while my father (Ridge Bond) was performing onstage starring in the Broadway production of Oklahoma! I sing, play acoustic, electric and midi guitars, electric bass, mandolin, oud, real & keyboard drums. I write and arrange most of the music I /we record or release – some under the pen name Mo Chroi. I also function as an Audio Producer, Engineer, Sound Designer and 3D Consultant – in my spare time.
ABOUT b-ONd FACES Alia Wryght sings & plays Discordion, melodica, percussion & piano. Other entities such as Timbrewolf, Kedi B., Mike Day, Trish Molina, Tabi, Bruce, John Cooper, Maine Manley & Little Virtual Jimmy Atkins sometime show up on tracks – or ortherwise. W Y H I W Y G “What you hear is what you get”. All Tracks are performed, that is – we play the music – no loops, drops, pre-recorded beats (unless genre and noted), A.I., beds or logic organs of the future were used – yet.
